How to Transition Baby's Summer Clothes to Fall

How to Transition Baby's Summer Clothes to Fall

The days might be getting shorter and the weather cooler, but that doesn't mean you have to put away those Babe Basics favorites just yet! After all, each babe only has so long before they grow out of outfits, so you want to get as much use out of them as possible. Try one of these ideas to transition your baby's clothes from summer to fall and get an extra couple months of use out of your Babe Basics!

1. Add knee socks or tights to rompers and dresses

A super easy way to make your baby's summer outfit into a fall outfit: add baby tights or tall socks! Not only is it adorable, but it also keeps little legs warm on those early fall days.

2. Add a cardigan on top

There's nothing cozier than a chunky knit for fall! A neutral cardigan can mix and match with almost any favorite summertime outfit for transitional seasons. Or, opt for a pattern or fun color to add some pizazz to a simple outfit.

3. Top off an outfit with a denim or bomber jacket

What can't a trusty denim jacket do? Any cute jacket is a great layer for chilly fall mornings that can easily be shed as the day warms up.

4. Layer long sleeves or sweaters under sleeveless or halter rompers

We typically think of adding layers on top of summer clothes, but don't be afraid to get creative and add layers underneath for fall! A long sleeved shirt or even a sweater can add warmth and style to a dress or romper.

5. Swap out the sandals for Mary Janes

Don't forget the accessories! While those cute sandals might have to go into the hand-me-down bin as it gets cooler out, you can add a cute pair of mary janes to give any outfit an autumnal finishing touch.
