Diaper Bag 🎒Essentials for Summer

☀️ Summer is a great season for exploring! Whether you’re taking a trip to the beach, playing at the park, or enjoying any kind of summer adventure, there are a few diaper bag essentials you won’t want to forget! 

Sunscreen 🏝

Summer is a great time to get outside, but it’s important to keep your babe’s skin protected from sun exposure. Make sure to include sunscreen in your diaper bag, this summer. You can opt for sunscreen tubes or sunscreen sticks, and select an SPF that works best for your babe’s skin. Remember, sunscreen will need to be re-applied based on the amount of time your babe is in the sun, how much they are sweating, and if they are exposed to water (ex: swimming in the pool, lake, or ocean). 

Baby Wipes 🐣

When you’re on-the-go, it’s helpful to carry baby wipes. These versatile wipes are great for more than just diaper changes. During the summer months, baby wipes are great for removing dirt, sand, and grass from hands and feet after playtime. They are also great for cleaning sticky fingers and messy faces after sweet summer treats, like popsicles and ice cream.  

Water Bottle

During the warm summer months, hydration is extremely important. Keep an extra water bottle in your diaper bag to ensure that you have water available, no matter where you go. If your toddler is playing in the sun, running around with friends, or spending a longer period of time outdoors, it’s important to make sure they get enough water to stay adequately hydrated. 

Extra Pair of Clothes

You never know when your babe may need a change of clothes. Whether they’re playing in the dirt, digging in the sand, splashing in the water, or enjoying a messy treat, an extra set of clothes can be very beneficial to keep on-hand during the summer months.  

First Aid Kit

Playtime can sometimes lead to scrapes, scratches, and cuts. This summer, make sure to keep a small first aid kit in your diaper bag. Bandaids, antibiotic ointments, and gauze are a few items that can be helpful for minor cuts, scrapes, and scratches.
